Head of Revenue
Expected Salary: $70,000+
Job Summary
The Head of Revenue is responsible for leading and executing the company’s revenue strategy, spanning fundraising, grant development, contracts, earned income, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships. This role oversees all revenue-generating functions and ensures financial sustainability by cultivating diverse funding streams. The Head of Revenue will work cross-functionally with programs, marketing, operations, and finance to grow the organization’s visibility, impact, and reach through strategic resource development.

Lead the company’s revenue strategy, developing and managing diverse income streams including grants, contracts, donations, sponsorships, and earned revenue.
Oversee and support the development team, including grants, fundraising, and donor relations personnel.
Identify and cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individual donors.
Direct grant strategy and operations, ensuring successful submission, compliance, reporting, and renewal cycles.
Develop and implement an annual revenue plan, including benchmarks, projections, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with the CEO and head of departments to align funding opportunities with organizational goals and program capacity.
Strengthen and expand partnerships that result in funding, sponsorships, and in-kind contributions.
Work with the Marketing & Communications team to support donor outreach, impact storytelling, and campaign strategy.
Leverage CRM and fundraising platforms to manage donor pipelines, segmentation, and reporting.
Represent the company at key events and with major funders, serving as a visible and trusted voice for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training, and/or work experience required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, or related field. Experience
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in development, fundraising, or revenue leadership, with at least 3 in a senior role.
Proven track record of securing 6- and 7-figure grants, contracts, and/or donations from public and private sources.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing development or revenue team.
Experience aligning fundraising strategy with organizational goals and growth plans.
Experience working with CRMs such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of nonprofit finance, grant compliance, and reporting standards.

Storytelling and Messaging: Ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse funder audiences.
Analytical and Results-Oriented: Comfortable with budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
Team Leadership: Strong supervisory and coaching abilities to lead a mission-driven team.

Hybrid schedule with in-office presence expected 1-2 times per week.
Some travel may be required to meet with funders and represent the company externally.
