American Physical Society Austin: Community Meetup

Join the American Physical Society (APS) for the kickoff of a new quarterly Community Meetup series in Austin, created to foster stronger ties between academia, industry, and the region’s dynamic tech ecosystem.

The inaugural event will feature a panel discussion on “Creating a Central Texas Nanofabrication Ecosystem for Deep Tech Device Development and Fabrication: Quantum, Photonics & Biotechnology.” Hear from leading experts as they explore the region’s growing impact on next-generation device innovation. This panel will be moderated by Horacio Gasquet, Technical Consultant, Persimmon Ridge Ventures.

Held in downtown Austin, the event will offer engaging dialogue, high-impact networking, and meaningful cross-sector collaboration. This series highlights how Austin is emerging as a hub for deep tech advancement.

Open to physicists, researchers, tech professionals, and members of the scientific community.

A hosted bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided to encourage networking and conversation throughout the evening.
