Job Summary

The Director of Partnerships & Revenue is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships that generate revenue and expand UTM’s impact. This role leads the development of employer partnerships, corporate sponsorships, workforce contracts, and funding opportunities that support UTM’s programs across digital equity, training, job placement, and entrepreneurship. This is a resultsdriven role with clear expectations around partnership development, revenue generation, and pipeline management. The Director will work closely with the CEO and internal teams to align partnerships with program delivery, community impact, and long-term organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development

    • Identify, build, and manage relationships with corporations, employers, government agencies, and community organizations

    • Develop strategic partnerships aligned with UTM’s workforce and innovation initiatives

  • Revenue Generation

    • Build and manage a structured revenue pipeline across sponsorships, workforce contracts, and partnerships

    • Secure funding through corporate sponsorships, employer partnerships, and strategic collaborations

  • Employer Engagement

    • Develop relationships with employers to create hiring pipelines, internships, apprenticeships, and job placement opportunities

    • Align employer needs with UTM training and workforce programs

  • Sponsorship & Strategic Funding

    • Secure sponsors for UTM programs, events, and initiatives

    • Package and present partnership opportunities that drive investment into UTM’s mission

  • Event Partnerships

    • Secure partners and sponsors for UTM’s monthly events, workshops, and community initiatives

    • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize event visibility and partner engagement

  • Pipeline Tracking & CRM Management

    • Track all partnership and revenue activity in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, deals, and partner engagement

  • Partnership Management

    • Maintain and grow relationships with existing partners to ensure long-term collaboration and retention

    • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships into deeper engagement or additional funding

  • Collaboration with Leadership

    • Work closely with the CEO and team members to align partnerships with program outcomes

    • Support strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and sustainability

Performance Metrics (KPIs):

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to build partnerships that translate into tangible revenue and opportunities for UTM participants. Within the first 6–12 months, the Director of Partnerships & Revenue will be expected to:

  • Revenue Generation

    • Build and manage a minimum $500,000+ active revenue pipeline within 6 months

    • Contribute to securing $250,000+ in new revenue within the first 12 months

  • Partnership Development

    • Establish 5–10 new strategic partnerships (employers, sponsors, or funders)

    • Secure 2–4 corporate sponsorships for programs or events

  • Employer Engagement

    • Develop 3–5 employer partners that provide hiring pathways, internships, or apprenticeships

    • Align employer needs with UTM training programs

  • Event Sponsorship & Support

    • Secure sponsors or partners for UTM events (target: at least 1 sponsored event per quarter)

    • Increase partner presence and engagement at events

  • Pipeline & CRM Management

    • Maintain 100% accurate tracking of partnerships and revenue pipeline in CRM

    • Provide monthly pipeline and partnership reports to leadership

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in partnerships, revenue generation, business development, fundraising, or related role

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow through consistently

  • Experience working with external stakeholders and partners

  • Experience in workforce development, nonprofit partnerships, or economic development

  • Experience securing corporate sponsorships or employer partnerships

  • Familiarity with the Austin tech and workforce ecosystem

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Approximately $80,000, commensurate with experience

  • Performance Incentive: Eligible for team-based revenue milestone bonuses tied to organizational revenue goals

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage (UTM contributes 50% toward employee premiums)

  • Retirement: 3% employer match
