Devin Voorsanger

Director of Entrepreneurship and EcoSystem Engagement

Devin has been building digital futures since dial-up—before most people had email and long before “startup” was a career path.

His journey started in the mid-90s, creating the first online presence for a major magazine publisher. From there, he launched his own interactive marketing firm at the height of the dot-com boom, working with clients like De Beers, JWT, and JVC. That early experience taught him how to balance bold digital vision with measurable results, a philosophy that’s stuck with him ever since.

Over the past two decades, he has led innovation across SaaS platforms, government modernization efforts, and startup ecosystems. At the Zahn Innovation Center, he helped scale over 100 ventures and transformed a basic pitch competition into a nationally recognized startup incubator, raising $35M+ and creating 400+ jobs. As the Director of Entrepreneurship and Ecosystem Engagement he is focused on expanding entrepreneurship access to underserved communities through tech and mentorship.

What sets him apart? He bridges strategy and execution. He's just as comfortable mapping out a product roadmap based on TOGAF and Agile as as he is pitching it to a mayor’s office or VC panel. Whether it’s revitalizing advanced manufacturing in overlooked regions or helping a founder get to their first 1,000 customers, he leads with empathy, experimentation, and relentless practicality.

When he's not mentoring startups or wrangling product roadmaps, you’ll find him kayaking through Texas rivers, training for the Boston Marathon, or writing about how investors make decisions (and how founders can meet them halfway).
